Ritvik: The Resilient CEO Building Ripen for Adulthood Success"

Edition - 08 Actual spotlight series , ft. Ritvik

Hello Folks!

Welcome to week's edition Actual One Protocol Spotlight series

In this new spotlight, the newsletter series will be covering stories of young and passionate builders, creators, and change-makers who are setting up new examples in the tech Twitter community.

And today, we have someone truly extraordinary to showcase - Ritvik Varghese!

Introducing Ritvik 👨‍💼, the CEO and Founder of Ripen 🌱, a company that creates social apps to improve well-being and prepare for adulthood. With a mission to empower users, Ritvik has successfully raised $550K 💰. Before starting Ripen, Ritvik worked as the first product hire at Credflow 🚀 and previously founded a company while studying at Shri Ram College of Commerce 🎓. His experience as a national-level football player ⚽ taught him the perseverance necessary for startup success 💪🏼.

What initiated the spark?

As we grow into adults, we often struggle to balance our careers, health, finances, and relationships. The challenges of independence can feel overwhelming, and our education system and our parents' guidance may not fully prepare us for this stage of life. This is where Ripen comes in. We aim to create a range of social products that empower young adults to navigate "real life" with confidence and enhance their overall well-being. 🌱💪

Think of us as your trusty sidekick on the journey of adulthood, providing the tools and support you need to thrive. 🤝🚀

What is the story of Ripen's beginning?

Ripen 🌱 started by bringing people together to help each other achieve their life goals. They formed groups where people could get advice and support on different challenges, from taxes to sleep problems. 🤝💪

They then created an app to make tasks like getting insurance or a PAN card more fun and social. 📱✨ However, they found that although they could guide users, they struggled to motivate them to finish their goals. 😔💼 Now, they are trying a new approach by making goal achievement more like playing games to make it more exciting and enjoyable. 🎮🔥

What He is doing right now & What are his future plans?

We realized that adulthood is a complex journey with various emotions like loneliness and confusion. 😔🤔 To address this, we're testing multiple products with our community. Our relaunched App now allows users to achieve goals and develop habits with friends, earning cash vouchers along the way. 📱👥💰 We've made it fun and social to ensure people stay motivated. 😄👫

Additionally, we're experimenting with three other products: one for staying connected with friends, one for mental health, and another to help people prepare for real-life situations. 📲👥❤️🧠🤝🏼🎯

What's His advice for people just starting a company?

When you first start, give users something they can use right away, even if it's done manually instead of using the software. 👐 This helps show them why your idea is valuable and gives them a chance to try it out. 🚀 Think about the simplest way you can help users and reduce their difficulties. 🤔 It could be through a community or by personally assisting them. 🤝 Remember, your main goal is to solve their problems, not just dream big. 💡 Imagine you're telling a story to a friend and helping them solve a problem in the easiest and most relatable way possible. 📚

What makes Ritvik the ActualOne?

👍 I'm really good at bouncing back from setbacks and staying calm. 😌 I'm also great at saying no and managing my time , which helps me balance everything in my life, from sleep and fitness to my passions and projects. Being disciplined like this helps me have a well-rounded life. 🌟
